Role Overview:

This is a hands-on-keys craft role at the heart of Indie's content studio. The Senior Creative Producer & Editor operates at two altitudes: setting the creative vision for a campaign and crafting the assets themselves. Reporting to the Creative Studio Director — who owns studio-wide timelines, resourcing, and trafficking — this person's sole focus is making the work exceptional and making it fast, across concept, shoot production, and edit of social-first content.

Key Responsibilities:

• Translate big ideas and creative concepts grounded in social behavior into high-quality assets for our clients
• Produce a meaningful share of studio output personally: short-form video edits, motion graphics, and static visuals
• Art direct and produce shoots (studio and lo-fi/UGC-style) with the Indie creative team — clear references, clear feedback, clear standards — and capture lo-fi content (b-roll, BTS, UGC-style footage) alongside directing
• Lead shoot-week logistics: own the shoot day/week schedule and partner with Production Assistants on pre-production so all props, materials, and resources are secured ahead of shoot week
• Edit raw footage into best-in-class social video content, driving sound — trending audio, music selection, and sound design — that makes edits perform
• Own the post-production pipeline: footage organization, versioning, review rounds, and final delivery specs per platform
• Turn reactive and trend-driven content quickly — concept to published in 24–48 hours when the moment calls for it
• Brief and manage UGC creators to develop best-in-class branded creative
• Maintain brand voice and visual consistency across every asset the studio ships, applying platform-native craft across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, and Pinterest
• Partner with the Creative Studio Director on creative feasibility, scoping, and freelance quality control, and collaborate with strategy and social & influencer teams to translate performance insights into craft optimizations

Requirements:

Mandatory:

• 5–8 years of experience in creative production, art direction, or content creation, with a portfolio/reel heavy on social-first work for consumer brands
• Expert-level video editing in Premiere Pro (After Effects a strong plus) — reel demonstrates pacing, hooks, and platform-native cuts
• 3+ years of hands-on shoot production experience: pre-production planning, on-set direction, and shoot-day logistics
• Working knowledge of post-production fundamentals: sound design and mixing, color correction, and export specs across platforms
• Daily fluency in Adobe Creative Cloud and Figma; comfort in CapCut for platform-native edits
• Demonstrated conceptual range: able to develop campaign ideas AND execute them hands-on
• Experience directing both polished and lo-fi/UGC-style content, and judgment for when each is right — including comfort capturing content yourself
• Experience directing freelancers and contractors on set and in post
• Strong feedback culture: gives and takes creative direction without ego
• Proven ability to thrive in high-volume environments where speed and craft coexist

Preferred:

• CPG brand or CPG agency experience
• Motion design depth beyond baseline proficiency
• Experience building templates or modular design systems for scaled content production

Reporting Relationship: Creative Studio Director

Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Design, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Location: This role is based in New York, NY or Raleigh, NC with a hybrid schedule of three in-office days and two remote days each week.
