Budget System Analyst Job Summary Lead the administration, optimization, and support of theorganization's budgeting and forecasting system (Anaplan) to ensureaccurate financial planning, reporting, and decision-making.Analyze business needs, define system requirements, and designautomated solutions that improve financial processes, reportingcapabilities, data integrity, and operational efficiency. Developand maintain complex forecasting models, dashboards, and automatedreports that provide actionable insights for executive leadershipand departmental stakeholders. Partner closely with end users andbusiness leaders to gather requirements, document processes, model system enhancements, and recommend controls that supportorganizational objectives. Lead budgeting and forecasting cycles bycoordinating timelines, providing strategic guidance, and ensuringadherence to established processes. Develop and deliver trainingprograms, user documentation, process maps, and support materialsto increase user adoption and improve budget managementcapabilities across the organization. Manage project milestones,system enhancements, testing activities, and change managementinitiatives to support continuous improvement of financial planningand reporting systems. Conduct user acceptance testing, maintainsystem procedures and protocols, and oversee the implementation ofautomated solutions that enhance reporting accuracy, reduce manualeffort, and strengthen organizational decision support. Determine operationalobjectives, gather information, and evaluate output requirementsand formats. Work closely with end users to analyze, define, model,and document systems requirements. Identify project milestones,phases, and elements, and keep team within timeline and budget.Construct workflow charts and diagrams, study system capabilities,and write specifications. Develop organizational change managementframework and conduct user acceptance testing. Maintain automatedsystem protocols by writing and updating procedures. May createend-user documentation (e.g., user guides, process flow charts,training materials) and deliver training. Considered highly skilledand proficient in discipline. Conducts complex, important workunder minimal supervision and with wide latitude for independentjudgment.Requires a bachelor's (or equivalency) + 6 years or a master's (or equivalency) + 4 years of directly related workexperience.
