Summary: We are seeking a Structural Welder for our client in the Shipyard / Repair industry. Join our team of skilled professionals at a leading defense and military contractor! We are seeking a talented Structural Welder to be a part of our specialized shipyard and repair operations. In this role, you will be responsible for the fabrication, assembly, and repair of critical structural components for a variety of naval and maritime projects. Using your expertise in welding techniques, you will play a vital role in ensuring the structural integrity and safety of our vessels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications to accurately fabricate and assemble structural components
• Perform a variety of welding processes, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding, to join metal parts and assemblies
• Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality standards and industry regulations
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other tradespeople to coordinate workflow and resolve issues
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment, following all safety protocols and procedures

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience as a structural welder, preferably in a shipyard or heavy industrial setting
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints
• Certification in structural welding, such as AWS D1.1 or ASME Section IX
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
