Manager, Property Accounting

Responsibilities Lead, motivate, and develop a team of accounting professionals by providing coaching, training, and mentorship through the hiring of top talent. Oversee the month‑end close process, ensuring deadlines are met while ensuring accurate and timely preparation, review, and analysis of financial statements. Review and approve work completed by accounting associates for accuracy and completeness in accordance with established policies and procedures. Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Asset Management, and other stakeholders to understand business drivers and their impact on financial results. Drive process optimization and scalability, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, automation, and controls in a high-volume environment. Support internal and external audit requests, including SOX Compliance, Internal Controls, and annual financial statement audits. Participate in company-provided training. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field is required. 5 years of experience in accounting and financial statement preparation is required. Property Accounting experience is preferred. 5+ years of supervisory experience is required. Intermediate Excel expertise required; Yardi experience a plus. Experience working with high volumes of data. Skills & Specialized Knowledge Effective prioritization and execution of tasks in a fast-paced dynamic environment. Leadership and talent development. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Professional verbal and written communication skills. Goal setting and consistent deadline adherence. Requirements Maintain professional appearance. Availability to work on a regular and consistent basis; overtime may be required. Physical & Mental Demands This position will spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers. The position may also entail light lifting of supplies and materials occasionally, up to and including 20 pounds in addition to reaching, stooping, standing, and walking. The position requires the ability to talk, hear, compare, compute, compile, copy, analyze, coordinate, synthesize, negotiate, and communicate. Compensation and Benefits The salary range for this position is: $79,987.50 - $138,645.00, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws. Annual bonus program.
