Staff Tax Accountant

Altman Greenfield & Selvaggi is a fast‑growing, boutique Accounting Firm specializing in Business Management for entertainment clients, located in West Los Angeles, CA. We are currently seeking a Tax Accountant for this location. This role requires an attentive individual with good communication skills. Locations: Westwood, CA and Encino, CA Hybrid Working Environment: For the first 6 months of employment, new hires are required to be in the office 4 days per week. After the initial period, the in‑office requirement is reduced to 2 days per week. Position is Exempt. Qualifications Accurately prepare federal, state, and local tax returns and extensions – individuals, corporate, partnerships, and trust returns Accurately prepare clean and easy‑to‑follow workpapers Review tax information and identify missing items Perform tax research Identify and communicate issues to seniors and Partners and help problem‑solve to find solutions Carry out business management tasks at the direction of your seniors or Partners. Requirements Minimum 3 years relevant tax preparation experience; mid‑sized CPA industry experience is preferred BS or Masters in Accounting Ability to commute to West LA or Encino location 4 days/week Strong proficiency in tax laws – individual, corporate, partnerships, and trusts Motivated, self‑starter Organized and able to work in a fast‑paced environment Able to multi‑task and prioritize Excel client‑service skills Terrific communication skills, both verbal and written Able to problem‑solve, thinking both creatively and logically Ability to maintain confidentiality Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel Proficiency with CCH Axcess Flexibility to work nights and weekends, as needed The salary range for the Staff Tax Accountant role is $80-100k.
