Tech - Cath Lab/EP

Job Description

Job Summary:
Radiologic Technologist (Cath Lab/EP) provides imaging support for cardiac catheterization and special procedures by preparing patients, operating radiology equipment, and assisting during diagnostic and interventional workflows. The technologist scrubs as needed, ensures high-quality imaging for physician interpretation, and maintains procedural readiness throughout each shift.

Responsibilities:

• Scrub in for Cardiac Cath Lab and Special Procedures procedures.
• Operate and run the X-ray equipment associated with all assigned procedures.
• Prepare, position, and set up patients and equipment to support safe examinations.
• Evaluate acquired images to confirm appropriate density, contrast, detail, and visualization of relevant structures.
• Perform special procedures radiography in accordance with department protocols.
• Maintain clean, orderly procedural areas by cleaning table/equipment and restocking materials for the next patient.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current ARRT radiologic technology license.
• Maintain Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
• Maintain Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Possess 2+ years of Cath Lab experience with proficiency in cath lab imaging workflows.
• Demonstrate competency in balloon pump and Impella support.
• Complete a radiologic technology certificate or degree (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
