Alamo Hospice is hiring a Volunteer Coordinator to support their Boerne and Kerrville locations. Come join our compassionate growing team of professional clinicians who make a difference in the lives of patients and families facing end of life journey.

Territory: Based at our Boerne office supporting Boerne and Kerrville.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

What You'll Do:

• Develop and implement Volunteer Training Program.
• Recruit and train volunteers.
• Develop and maintain volunteer retention programs.
• Assures compliance with all regulatory issues related to volunteers.
• Develop programs that maximize the use of volunteers in both clinical and administrative services.
• Assumes other duties as developed by the Director of Operations
• Assists in the recruitment, training and development of all volunteer programs as needed.

Qualifications:

• Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and the ability to speak before groups with sensitivity and compassion.
• Significant group organizational experience.
• Volunteer experience desired, particular in recruitment, training, and supervision of volunteers.
• Knowledge of hospice.
• Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or organization requirements and is in good working order.
• Demonstrates excellent observation, problem solving, verbal and written communications.
• Shows ability to organize and prioritize workload independently
