Preschool Teacher Assistant - Early Childhood

Job Description
- Assist the Instructor in supervising and working with children with and without special needs to build skills in:
- Self-care
- Gross and fine motor development
- Social-emotional development
- Communication and cognitive skills
- Help implement daily lesson plans tailored to each child’s Individual Education Plan (IEP) or IFSP
- Lead small group activities and step in during the Instructor’s absence when needed
- Help set up and maintain classroom spaces, learning materials, and activities
- Support indoor and outdoor activities, including field trips
- Maintain a clean, safe, and engaging learning environment that meets health and safety standards
- Assist with written documentation such as attendance, progress notes, behavioral data, and evaluations
- Communicate and work collaboratively with families
- Attend and participate in staff meetings and ongoing training
