Position Overview Cumulus Media | Minneapolis is searching for a hard‑working full‑time Promotions Coordinator. This role involves going out into the community to interact with listeners and promote our stations, and performing general office duties including receptionist duties as needed. The Promotions Coordinator assists Promotions Leadership in the preparation and execution of station promotions and events. Responsibilities include setting up and breaking down pop‑up tents and tables, hanging banners, and interacting with listeners. The Coordinator must be able to lift 50 pounds and be on their feet for extended periods of time. In the office, they handle prize fulfillment, event preparation, contest building, prize sheet creation, brainstorming new ideas, and other promotion‑oriented tasks. The position also includes receptionist duties as needed. We’re looking for charismatic applicants with a smiling face and outgoing personality. Key Responsibilities & Qualifications Key Responsibilities Assist in planning, organizing, and execution of promotional events and campaigns Execute proper technical and physical set‑up and breakdown of remote broadcasts and station events; troubleshoot and resolve issues on the fly Represent stations at events in an upbeat, outgoing, and friendly manner Inventory and maintain prize closet, calendars, events for current and upcoming promotions Assist the Promotions and Marketing Department with projects as needed in the office Ability to drive station vehicles Schedule liners and giveaways Maintain and store station equipment Uphold a strict level of confidentiality at all times Prize fulfillment to winners, including communicating with winners regarding prizes Qualifications 1‑2 years of media or event experience preferred Must be 21 years of age or older Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record Reliable; have a flexible schedule and be available to work at least 20 hours per week, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays May require lifting or moving up to 50 pounds Must be able to stand for extended periods of time Outgoing, energetic, detail‑oriented, and responsible Proficient using computers and Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and WordPress Multi‑tasking abilities Event experience and planning preferred Strong Social Media skills with sites like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Twitch and LinkedIn Ability to learn new platforms (understanding of Microsoft 365 and vCreative is a plus) Pay Range USD $35,000.00 – USD $38,000.00 /Yr.
