Licensed Practical Nurse

Licensed Practical Nurse Position Details: Mercy Hospital Southeast, Cape Girardeau, MO. Obstetrics Department. Part-time – 8 hours per week. Shift: TBD. Responsibilities: Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care under the supervision of licensed prescribers or a Registered Professional Nurse. Maintain professional accountability for the provision of patient care for assigned patients. Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Minimum Qualifications Education: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program. Consideration will be given for comparable education, experience, and successful licensure. Licensure: Personally responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current LPN license in the state where nursing duties are performed. Must meet all State Board of Nursing requirements. Certifications: ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization) S.T.A.B.L.E. (Six Assessment & Care Modules) BLS (Basic Life Support) certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire. LPN‑IV Certification must be previously completed or successfully completed within 3 months of hire. Other unit-specific certifications as required.
