Now hiring for a Class A Shuttle Driver Location: East Syracuse, NY Pay Rate: $29.00 – $43.50 per hour Schedule: 2 ROUTE WEEKLY. EACH ROUTE IS AN OVERNIGHT TRIP MON -THU Every Load Matters. Every Mile Counts. Looking for Class A Shuttle Driver jobs in East Syracuse where every mile matters? This opportunity puts your driving skills to work transporting goods safely, efficiently, and on schedule while supporting the businesses and customers that keep the economy moving. Shuttle from Rochester, NY to Augusta, ME and back. Two runs per week. The drivers dispatch from Rochester, NY in the afternoons on Tuesdays and Saturdays to shuttle up to Augusta, ME. The drivers will then layover in a customer paid hotel until their trailers are loaded to return to Rochester NY with. The return time of 4:00am is fluid as the trailers all get loaded with different timing. Sometimes the drivers will get back closer to 1:00am. Education Requirements High school diploma or GED preferred. Valid driver’s license required. Commercial driver’s license (CDL) may be required depending on the position. Experience Requirements Safe driving history with a strong commitment to defensive driving practices. Ability to inspect vehicles, identify safety concerns, and complete required documentation. Knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and proper cargo securement when applicable. Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to meet delivery schedules. Professional communication skills and a customer-focused attitude. CDL class A Endorsements Preferred Qualifications Previous professional driving, delivery, transportation, or logistics experience is preferred. Experience operating commercial vehicles, delivery trucks, box trucks, or tractor-trailers is beneficial depending on the assignment. Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs), GPS navigation, routing software, or transportation documentation is considered an asset. Individuals who demonstrate dependability, professionalism, and a commitment to safety are well positioned for success as a Class A Shuttle Driver. Physical Capabilities Ability to sit for extended periods while safely operating a vehicle. Ability to enter and exit vehicles frequently throughout the workday. Ability to lift, move, or secure freight and materials when required by the assignment. Ability to perform vehicle inspections and work safely in varying weather and road conditions.
