Supply Chain Analyst

Job Title: Supply Planning Analyst.

Location: Portage, MI

Contract Duration: 18 Months

Payrate: $31/hr

Position Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Supply Planning Analyst to support the creation and execution of supply plans for manufacturing plants and third-party suppliers within a designated franchise scope. This role will collaborate closely with production scheduling, procurement, customer service, and supply planning teams to ensure an integrated and effective approach to supply planning.

The ideal candidate will help ensure demand requirements are met through accurate planning, capacity analysis, inventory management, and proactive communication of supply risks and mitigation strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the development of a Master Resource Plan based on current demand signals to determine production and purchasing requirements for finished goods, raw materials, and components across a 24-month planning horizon.
• Assist in creating capacity plans to identify potential supply bottlenecks, risks, and underutilization opportunities, while recommending mitigation strategies to ensure future demand can be met
• Manage planning responsibilities for a limited portfolio of products or segments, with ongoing coaching and development provided by the Supply Planning team.
• Work under the guidance of the Supply Planning Manager to establish appropriate inventory and safety stock levels based on demand variability and supply chain lead times.
• Track execution of supply plans with production scheduling and procurement teams to ensure operational alignment and timely mitigation of back orders or supply disruptions.
• Support product lifecycle planning, including product launches, phase-ins, and phase-outs, while communicating supply planning impacts to stakeholders.
• Assist in communicating supply planning capabilities and constraints back to demand planning through daily, weekly, and monthly planning processes.
• Maintain accurate supply planning system master data to support effective operational planning.
• Monitor and support key performance indicators (KPIs), including:
• Supply Plan Attainment
• Safety Stock Health
• Capacity Utilization
• Back Orders
• Lead Time Performance
• Analyze root causes of planning and performance issues and provide recommendations for sustainable corrective actions.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in production planning, supply planning, or demand planning roles.
• Experience working with ERP or planning systems such as SAP, JDE, or equivalent platforms.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Power BI experience is a plus.
• Entry-level graduates with relevant internship or academic experience may also be considered.
