This role will be performed in a fully remote setting, allowing for flexibility to meet the needs of both our staff and clients. While you will work independently, our collaborative approach means regular communication and teamwork via digital platforms. The standard work schedule is from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 4 PM, with some flexibility to accommodate patient needs, ensuring that we are always available to our clients when they need us most.

As a Mental Health Therapist at Forward Steps Psychotherapy, your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough clinical assessments using evidence-based practices and solution-focused interventions to create personalized treatment plans tailored to each client's unique circumstances.

  • Implementing a range of therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and other effective modalities to facilitate client progress.

  • Maintaining accurate and confidential clinical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards and other regulations governing mental health practices.

  • Collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary treatment team, consisting of psychiatrists, psychologists, and fellow mental health professionals, to improve the overall quality of client care.

  • Engaging in regular case consultations and peer review meetings to discuss treatment strategies and enhance professional development.

  • Providing education and support to clients and their families, fostering a deeper understanding of mental health conditions and treatment options available.

You will work with individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health disorders. Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Master's degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

  • An active license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in New Jersey.
