Manufacturing Cost AccountantAs a Manufacturing Cost Accountant, you will assist in developing and maintaining integrated financial systems to provide accurate information in a timely manner. You will also help develop strong internal controls and appropriate measures to ensure the integrity of reporting and focus on the continuous improvement of all financial work processes.This position works onsite at the plant in Logan, Utah.What you'll do:Supporting in the development and maintenance of accurate product costs and analyses for new products.Auditing and maintaining accurate costs within the cost system.Ensuring that product cost changes are effectively communicated.Facilitating establishing systems, processes and procedures to collect and record data required for internal and external reporting. This includes maintaining accurate inventory, charging costs to the general ledger, determining appropriate accruals, assisting in explanations for period results, and maintaining a strong system of internal controls.Providing appropriate financial analysis for planned capital expenditures and ensuring accurate recording of fixed assets in the fixed asset system.Supporting and completing bi-weekly milk reconciliations with suppliers and monthly milk reporting for external customers.Contributing in the development of a culture that thrives on continuous improvement and the development of knowledge and skills.May be required to perform other job-related tasks.What you will need to succeed:Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or Business3+ years' work experience, preferably 2+ year of accounting experienceProficiency in Excel and other data analysis toolsFamiliarity with word-processing, graphics, flowcharts or other softwareCuriosity in leveraging technology and automation to improve processesStrong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive process improvementsEligible partners will receive:Get not one, but TWO retirement benefits.
