In this role, you will design and lead experiments across CNS disease models, working as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team spanning platform technology, disease biology, and early clinical development.This position offers the opportunity to contribute to a fast-growing, science-driven organization making a meaningful difference to patients worldwide.When & where:Location: Tarrytown, NYWork model/flexibility: OnsiteDiscover your role:Design experiments to evaluate the efficacy, target engagement, and delivery efficiency of viral and non-viral therapeutic candidates across CNS disease modelsDesign AAV transgene cassettes to optimize therapeutic efficacyLead a team of associates in the execution of experiments and analysis of primary dataInterpret complex datasets, integrating findings with current scientific literature to propose data-driven next stepsCommunicate project strategy, scientific vision, and data updates to senior leadersAuthor and review preclinical study reports to support regulatory submissionsApproach scientific problems with an engineering mindset and a design-build-test-learn frameworkCoach and mentor junior scientists within a multidisciplinary team environmentThis role requires:Experience evaluating DNA- or RNA-based therapeutics in small-animal modelsHands-on experience with molecular biology techniquesExperience mentoring and managing research associatesExcellent communication and presentation skillsPreferred: Ph.D. in neuroscience, gene therapy, or a related disciplinePreferred: 5+ years of combined postdoctoral and industry experience in biotechnology, genetic medicines, or CNS drug discoveryPreferred: knowledge of both viral and non-viral genetic medicine delivery modalitiesDoes this sound like you?
