Job Summary

We are seeking two motivated and dependable Temporary Plumbing Helpers/Apprentices to support our plumbing team on a commercial construction project in Knoxville, TN. This is a six-month assignment offering hands-on experience in commercial plumbing installation, maintenance, and construction activities under the supervision of licensed plumbers and project foremen.

The ideal candidates will have a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and the ability to work safely in an active construction environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist licensed plumbers with the installation of plumbing systems, piping, fixtures, and equipment.
• Transport, organize, and maintain plumbing materials, tools, and equipment on job sites.
• Measure, cut, assemble, and install piping under supervision.
• Assist with rough-in and finish plumbing work.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
• Load and unload materials and equipment as needed.
• Support project completion by performing general labor and construction-related tasks.
• Attend safety meetings and participate in jobsite training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous construction or plumbing experience is a plus but not required.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions and construction environments.
• Reliable transportation to and from the jobsite.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong attendance and punctuality record.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing.
• Ability to work on ladders, lifts, and elevated surfaces when required.
• Ability to safely handle tools, materials, and plumbing equipment.
