We're hiring a Wholesale Growth Specialist at The Prosper Lab.

ABOUT THE PROSPER LAB

Independent retail is one of the most underutilized growth channels in CPG today. Faire, with 800,000+ independent retailers on a single platform, is the most scalable path to it.

The Prosper Lab is the full-service independent retail growth team for CPG brands, part of the Product & Prosper® ecosystem. We built it around a belief: independent retail, scaled first through Faire, is one of the most underutilized growth channels for consumer brands. We grow brands through three levers, optimization, outreach, and ongoing management, and our clients typically see 2 to 3x revenue growth in 6 to 12 months.

We currently manage over $10M in retail shelf value a year across our portfolio, for brands like Venchi, Joon Foods, Sunwarrior, GNGR Labs, and many more.

ROLE OVERVIEW

Of our three levers, this role owns outreach. Part storyteller, part closer: you get independent retailers genuinely excited about the brands we represent, open the door, land the first order, and turn it into a partnership that lasts. 

You own the full outbound pipeline, deciding who to reach, how to reach them, and carrying it all the way to a closed account with a first order on Faire. Optimization and ongoing management are handled by a separate team, so your focus stays on one thing: opening doors and landing first orders.

The model works. With the right lead volume, a brand averages 8 to 12 new wholesale accounts a month. Across our portfolio, about one in four samples converts into a closed account, and our top performers convert more than 60% of replies, well above cold-outbound benchmarks.

This is consistent, meaningful work with real upside, not a side gig. You'll have full freedom over where and when you work, but you need to be the kind of person who shows up, takes ownership, and drives results.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Own the Outbound Pipeline

• Build and run targeted outreach to independent retailers across email and Faire messaging

• Write outreach that actually gets replies, and test relentlessly to make it convert better

• Manage sending domains, deliverability, and cadence so your outreach lands and performs

Open Doors and Close Accounts

• Coordinate and follow up on sample requests through to a first order

• Use whatever channel gets to yes, from a sharp message to a timely call when it seals the deal

• Confirm closed accounts and verify first orders on Faire

Track and Report

• Log outreach data rigorously so we can see what's working and double down

• Send each brand a clean weekly recap of activity, samples, and closes

COMPENSATION

•  Base: $400 per brand you run, per month, paid regardless of platform conditions

•  Commission: $50 per closed wholesale account (a new retailer that places a first order through your outreach)

•  Upside: fully uncapped, every account you close pays, every month

•  Schedule: fully flexible

The structure is built to reward closing. Your base covers running the brand; your real upside is every account you land.

YOUR EARNING POTENTIAL

Earnings scale directly with what you close. Here's what total monthly compensation looks like:

• Getting started: 4 brands + 8 closes, about $2,000/month

• Ramping: 5 brands + 20 closes, about $3,000/month

• Strong: 6 brands + 40 closes, about $4,400/month

• Dialed in: 6 brands + 60 closes, about $5,400+/month

Commission is uncapped. The better you close, the more you make, every month. We supply the leads, the tools, and the training. Your results drive your income.

WHO YOU ARE

This role fits a specific kind of person. This role is for you if:

• You're here to open doors. Closing a new account is the best part of your week, and beating last month's number is the game you actually want to play.
• You're a hunter, not an inbox-manager. You go find the next account instead of waiting for it to come to you.
• You're a builder, not a complainer. When something isn't working, you try a new angle before anyone asks, and you improve the system.
• You solve problems instead of reporting them. When a something hiccups, your instinct is to find a workaround and keep closing.
• You think in funnels. Reply rates, sample-to-close, conversion math: that's how you keep score, and you feel it when a number moves because you changed something.
• You know the craft of email. You understand what makes someone open, reply, and say yes, whether that's deliverability and sequencing, sharp copy, or a well-timed call.
• You're comfortable being autonomous. You don't need daily check-ins, and honestly you don't want them.
• You're genuinely into CPG. You clock the next viral brand before it's everywhere, and getting emerging brands onto shelves sounds like a good time.
• You want a real role, not a side gig. Something to grow inside of over years, with income that climbs as you do.

IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS

We'll train the right person. What we can't train is the drive to close. If you have that, and a background in one of these, we want to talk:

• Email marketing or cold outbound

• Paid ads or performance marketing

• Social media or affiliate marketing

• B2B sales, BDR work, or scrappy founder-style selling

Strong plus:

• You can read a conversion rate and know what to change

• Daily fluency with AI tools, not just heard of them

• Any exposure to Faire, wholesale, or CPG

• You've sold something of your own online

HOW WE WORK TOGETHER

Mostly heads-down and independent, with a light connective rhythm: a short weekly team call, a monthly one-on-one with our Director of Client Success, and a quarterly team meeting. Outside of that, your time is your own.
