Admissions Specialist

This position is responsible for completing the referral process for assigned states/territories from initial inquiry to admission.Admissions Specialist Responsibilities:Respond to general inquires submitted through the Lakemary websiteAssist in returning admissions related callsAcceptable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) to meet standard driving requirementsAssist in scheduling and conducting tours of Lakemary when neededBecome well versed in each state’s specific funding processAssist in requesting specific records/documentation related to each referral from guardians and stakeholdersHelp ensure all required documents are received and provided to the Admissions and Review teamAssist in gathering all admissions paperwork including consents, insurance cards, and legal documentsDistribute records and information to the appropriate Lakemary team members for each admit.Utilization of time management skills.An ideal candidate for this position has:Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word and ExcelExcellent customer serviceAbility to complete multiple tasks within a given timeframeAttention to detail and high level of accuracyClear, friendly written and verbal communication skillsAbility to communicate effectively with adults having a variety of disabilities.Ability to communicate effectively with families and referral agencies.Ability to be flexible and work in different residential and treatment situations to accommodate the disabilities of the adult and treatment service needs.Admissions Specialist Qualifications: Other job Details:Bachelors Degree: Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or comparable fields preferred3 years experience working in an office setting; Experience working with children and individuals with development and/or psychiatric disabilities preferredOther job Details:Day hours Monday- Friday 8am-4:30pmLakemary provides competitive compensation and benefit package including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans; paid time off; and a 401(k)-retirement planCertifications:Lakemary provides training in program specific coursework.Special Considerations:Some environments/shifts require same sex staff due to regulatory requirements.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to age, race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or veteran status.
