We are looking for a number of talented Digital Project Managers to join us in the Portfolio Office. Working with the Digital Delivery team, we provide the platform (building and digital infrastructure) and capability to enable the delivery of high impact Science and Technology and our project managers are key in delivering projects that make a difference to the whole organisation.

As Project Manager for the delivery of digital projects within the Portfolio Office, you will have excellent people skills and provide leadership, enabling the team to deliver. The ability to work with a range of stakeholders to ensure continued engagement is important and you should be comfortable working with a variety of people.

You will be accountable for the definition, coordination, direction and assurance of one or more projects that deliver the outputs that enable the Science &Technology (S&T), or Operational outcomes of the parent programme. The PM is responsible for the delivery of the Projects in accordance with the Project Mandate.

As PM you will ensure that the project operates within the agreed performance, quality, time and cost envelope and adheres to Dstl's P3 processes. You will work closely with the Programme Manager or Portfolio Manager who will oversee the generation of project goals and monitoring project performance.

• Please provide any additional information specific to this role : We are looking for Project Managers with experience in delivering digital projects to PDCF level PM3 (Dstl Level 6): Delivery Create and lead the project to deliver the agreed outcomes within time, cost and quality constraints. Project Management Day to day management and leadership of the project. Provide effective leadership and management controls. Set project controls. Set appropriate delivery methodologies. Manage effective transition between project phases. Business Case Coordinate development of the Business Case. Responsible for the production and co-ordination of the project business case(s) and review notes (where required), throughout the lifecycle of a project, therefore good writing skills are essential Budget Track delivery within budget, be responsible for the tracking and reporting of the projects forecasts and variances. Resources Schedule / manage resources to deliver the project. May work independently or with a small team. Stakeholder Management identify and manage stakeholder relationships and need for senior level support. Manage internal and external relationships as appropriate. Risks & Issues Identify and monitor project risks and issues. Develop mitigating actions and escalate as appropriate. Identify and work with related projects to manage interdependencies. Governance Provide key reports and support effective governance and decision making. Provide reporting and engage in mechanisms that hold you, as Project Manager, to account for delivery. Assurance Engage with assurance reviews and support action on recommendations. Organise assurance processes such as gateway reviews, as required. Change Management Ensure effective Change Management processes are in place to agree and document changes to deliverables as agreed with stakeholders. Guidance & Support Provide support, guidance and coaching for the project team. Show commitment to personal development. Promote effective individual and team performance. Project Performance & Controls Cascade vision and translate into delivery objectives for the team. Develop and maintain Project Plan. Identify and set appropriate Project Controls. Manage performance and report progress to sponsors. Contract Management - Oversee the placement of contracts with strategic suppliers with strong requirements. Manage supplier relationships, and ensure receipt of contracted deliverables to time, cost and quality. These responsibilities are aligned with the Project Delivery Complexity Framework
