Merchandising Specialist

Location: 12218 West Street, Bear Lake, MI, 49614, United States Contact: Chuck Jegla Merchandising Specialist – Position will support grocery stores in the Petoskey/Cheboygan area. Help keep our grocery locations stocked, fresh, and ready for customers! As a Merchandising Specialist, you’ll travel between EZ Mart grocery locations to deliver and merchandise meat and other products. You’ll use a company‑provided van to transport goods from location to location while helping ensure products are handled, stored, and displayed safely and properly. This is a hands‑on role that combines local driving, merchandising, inventory management, and customer service. You’ll work closely with store teams to keep meat departments organized, well‑stocked, and ready for business. What You’ll Do Drive a company‑provided van between grocery locations to deliver meat and other products Load and unload products and safely transport them between locations Stock, rotate, and merchandise meat products Remove outdated or unsellable products and maintain fresh, appealing displays Maintain clean and organized meat cases, coolers, freezers, and work areas Help receive deliveries and ensure products are stored properly Place price tags and promotional signs Monitor inventory and help ensure stores have the right products available Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures Maintain safe temperatures in coolers and freezers Work safely in refrigerated and freezer environments Assist customers with questions about meat products, availability, and special orders Report equipment concerns or temperature issues to management Follow applicable food safety regulations and company standards Complete required training and follow all safety procedures What We’re Looking For High school diploma or equivalent Previous experience in grocery, meat, food service, merchandising, delivery, or inventory is helpful but not required Strong planning, organization, and communication skills A customer‑focused attitude and ability to work well with store teams Ability to work in refrigerated and freezer environments ServSafe certification is preferred Comfortable using basic inventory and sales information to help support product availability and sales Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to climb in and out of a delivery vehicle Ability to push and pull carts throughout a store Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and move throughout the workday Ability to work for extended periods in refrigerated and freezer environments If you enjoy staying active, working independently, traveling locally between store locations, and making sure customers have access to fresh, quality products, this could be a great opportunity for you! #J-18808-Ljbffr Reasors Food Stores
