School Physical Therapist Location: Lakewood, Washington AHS Staffing is hiring a School Physical Therapist for a local contract position with PediaStaff. The role involves providing therapy services to students in the Lakewood school district for the upcoming school year. Job Details Specialty: Physical Therapist Discipline: School Services Start Date: 09/02/2026 Duration: 44 weeks Hours: 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Local Contract Schedule: Monday – Friday, 37.5 hours per week Dates: 9/2 – 6/16 Setting: Float position; caseload determined during interview Location: In‑person only Key Responsibilities Assess students' gross motor skills, mobility, strength, balance, and functional physical abilities to identify needs and develop individualized therapy plans. Deliver targeted therapy interventions in accordance with students' IEPs, supporting mobility, access to the school environment, and participation in educational activities. Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and other specialists to create supportive learning environments that promote physical access, safety, and independence. Contribute to IEP development by providing recommendations related to physical development, mobility needs, positioning, equipment, and appropriate accommodations or modifications.
