Barry Communications, Inc., headquartered in Worcester, MA since 1981, provides voice and data solutions to small and medium-sized businesses throughout New England. We partner with industry leaders to offer reliable, cost effective and innovative technology services, including VoIP, cloud, unified communications, disaster recovery, advanced mobility, and local/long distance services. We are currently in a growth mode and seeking a technical individual with the desire to join a team with the opportunity to learn and grow within.

• Salary – Negotiated based off skill level.
• Ability to work remote – Working remote negotiable based on geography and skill level.

Job Description:

The responsibilities include:

• Troubleshoot and Support network components.
• Serve as a point of contact for customer trouble inquiries.
• Coordinate with 3rd party carriers and vendors to resolve network trouble.
• Maintain service order tickets and keep them up to date with accurate and detailed information.
• Be part of a 24x7x365 support team with on-call duties

Requirements:

• Understanding of basic networking and VoIP
• Understanding and expertise of VMware, voice and data networks (POE switches)
• Understanding of Microsoft Applications
• Excellent trouble-shooting skills

Non-Technical Skills:

• Strong work ethic and commitment to going “above and beyond” for customers.
• Able to work unsupervised, but also willing to seek direction, supervision, and training as needed.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interface with a wide range of customers across many industries.
• Team player willing to help out in all areas.
