Quality Assurance Technician - Food Processing Plant Prime Meats LLC is a producer of premium-quality proteins. We are committed to quality, service, and the development of our people. Responsibilities Maintain product quality specifications through inspections and control procedures, ensuring SQF, HACCP, and regulatory requirements comply with USDA, FDA, or internal procedures. Attend sanitation and food safety services (pest control, cleaning) and review service records to ensure compliance with internal procedures. Verify and apply calibration procedures for measurement devices (thermometers, scales, etc.). Conduct daily internal inspections in the processing plant, evaluating temperatures, conditions, cleaning, and product storage. Monitor product shelf-life and manage location-change procedures (fresh to frozen) as needed. Onboard new personnel on Quality/Food Safety topics (PPE, HACCP, Food Safety Policies, SQF). Document and report deviations originated by vendors; follow up on claims and resolutions. Coordinate with other departments (warehouse, logistics, sales, purchasing) to resolve issues related to claims or follow-up projects. Skills and Requirements 1-2 years of experience in a food-related manufacturing facility. College degree in Food Science or related field with HACCP certification. Quality control experience in a food manufacturing facility. Knowledge of USDA/SQF/SOP and inspection performance (a plus). Knowledge of basic GMPs (a plus).
