At PJ Lobster House, our Restaurant Busser / Dining Room Support Team plays a vital role in delivering exceptional hospitality. This position is much more than clearing tablesit is about keeping the restaurant operating efficiently while supporting our guests, servers, bartenders, Hospitality Coordinators, managers, and kitchen staff throughout every shift.

Our Dining Room Support Team helps maintain the pace of service by delivering bread to newly seated guests, assisting with food delivery, clearing and resetting tables, packaging leftovers, maintaining clean dining areas and restrooms, and anticipating the needs of both guests and fellow team members.

Responsibilities

• Deliver fresh bread to newly seated tables promptly.
• Monitor assigned dining areas and clear plates, glasses, utensils, and other items throughout each meal.
• Assist servers by delivering food to guest tables quickly and accurately.
• Package guest leftovers neatly and professionally.
• Make sure takeout containers, utensils, and condiments are provided when needed.
• Deliver takeout boxes and packaging supplies to guest tables upon request.
• Perform final table clearing, cleaning, sanitizing, and resetting according to restaurant standards.
• Assist Hospitality Coordinators by cleaning and sanitizing menus after every use.
• Help prepare and reset reserved tables before guest arrival.
• Check, clean, and restock guest restrooms throughout each shift.
• Maintain clean and organized dining rooms, service stations, and work areas.
• Refill bread, ice, cups, service supplies, and other front-of-house necessities.
• Assist bartenders, servers, Hospitality Coordinators, kitchen staff, and managers wherever needed.
• Anticipate the needs of the restaurant team to help maintain a smooth and efficient flow of service.
• Provide friendly, professional assistance to guests whenever needed.
• Complete opening, closing, and side work as assigned.
