Description American Traveler seeks a Surgical Technologist for a surgery center position, requiring current Colorado licensure and at least 1 year of experience. Details Ambulatory surgery center setting in the operating room/surgical services department Cares for patients across all age groups, from neonatal/infant through geriatric populations Handles Tier 1 surgical cases Requirements Completion of a Certified Surgical Technologist program and/or Licensed Surgical Technologist required Current Colorado state license as a Surgical Technologist required (license required if applicable) Minimum of 1 year of experience required BLS certification from the American Heart Association Working knowledge of AORN standards Basic computer skills necessary for online learning and documentation systems Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, with occasional lifting up to 50 lbs Additional Information Maintains sterile and aseptic technique while providing instrumentation to the surgical team Ensures proper packaging, processing, and sterility of surgical items and equipment Monitors the sterile field for contamination risks and initiates corrective action as needed Participates fully in Time Out Process, including briefings and debriefings Assists with patient transport, room turnover, and room preparation Cleans and prepares instruments for terminal sterilization Functions under the direction of a Registered Nurse Must be HIPAA compliant and maintain professional behavior with current knowledge of surgical technologies CAPS registration required and may take up to two weeks to obtain These details are based on information provided by the facility and may include inaccuracies or be subject to updates.
