Customer Service Specialist  Job Description:

PrideStaff is currently working with a local health organization seeking a Customer Service Specialist to join their Claims Department team. The Customer Service Specialist will manage a large number of incoming calls and act as a liaison between the health organization and its customers. The ideal Customer Service Specialist knows medical terminology, ICD9 & CPT/HCPS codes, and has experience in a call center or medical setting. The Customer Service Specialist is a full-time, temporary position in Fresno, CA. 

Customer Service Specialist Job Responsibilities:

• Successfully Manage a Large Number of Incoming Calls
• Follow Communication Scripts
• Respond to Callers on Different Topics Related to Claims & Health Care
• Act as a Liaison Between Company and its Customers
• Evaluate Documents to Ensure Appropriate Information has been Obtained for Payment Purposes

Customer Service Specialist Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Required 
• Coursework & Knowledge of Medical terminology is Preferred
• Must Have Experience in an Inbound & Outbound Call Center, Medical Office/Clinic, Hospital Institution Setting, or 1 year of Claims Experience  
• Knowledge of ICD9 & CPT/HCPS Codes is Required
• Ten-Key Calculator, Computer & Typing Skills (Min. 35 wpm with Accuracy)
• Must Have Excellent Verbal, Written & Interpersonal Communication Skills
• Must be Proficient in the Application & use of Windows, WordPerfect, Excel, Outlook & the Internet
