Registered Nurse - Emergency Department - Lawrence, KS

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (Night shift)
Hours/week: 36 hours
Employment Type: Contract
License/Certs: Kansas or Compact RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC
Experience: 3+ years of ER experience (5+ preferred)
Floating: Rarely floats
Weekend & Holiday: As needed
On-Call: One call shift per week
Orientation: Starts Mondays; credentials due by Wednesday prior to start
Pay Rate: Hourly pay discussed upon application

What You'll Do

Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to diverse patient populations
Assess patient conditions, prioritize treatments, and implement care plans
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
Collaborate with physicians, staff, and patients to ensure optimal outcomes
Document care and maintain detailed patient records
Follow facility protocols and safety procedures
Contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment

What You Need
Required:

KS or compact RN license
BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC certifications
Minimum 3 years ER nursing experience
Strong assessment and communication skills

Preferred:

5+ years ER experience
Large facility background
Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
