Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (CPU)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every Other Weekend | Holiday Availability Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Stepdown/PCU (CPU) setting with a focus on intermediate to advanced acuity patients
• Perform continuous cardiac monitoring and telemetry interpretation
• Initiate and manage IV access and infusions as part of patient care protocols
• Document all patient care activities accurately using Cerner EMR
• Adhere to unit dress code — Royal Blue scrubs required (not provided by facility)
• Complete up to 8 hours of non-billable onboarding modules via HealthStream prior to start date

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN license (must be obtained prior to start; if pending, proof that the process is underway may be considered)
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Minimum 3+ years of recent Stepdown/PCU (CPU) experience
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and IV insertion
• Minimal to no requested time off (RTO); especially around holidays — any RTO must be disclosed at time of submission
• Candidates residing within 30 miles of the facility are not eligible; candidates residing within 31–50 miles may be accepted at a local rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous travel nursing experience strongly preferred
• Experience with Cerner EMR
• Intermediate to advanced float/multi-patient management skills
