X-ray Technologist

Responsibilities Demonstrate skills and knowledge in the use of all X‑ray equipment and performance of all X‑ray protocols and procedures. Produce high‑quality exams within an appropriate time frame for each procedure. Explain procedures to patients or families, answer questions, ease anxiety, and address concerns. Recognize clinical and/or emergent problems that may interfere with exams and take appropriate action. Evaluate critical test findings and review anatomical details and abnormalities on scans with radiologists if needed. Maintain supply levels. Clean and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, immediately report dangerous conditions to the appropriate person. Input and verify all data in PACS/RADIANT. Maintain and advocate a safe environment for everyone and follow all quality control checks. Ensure continuity of care, efficient throughput, consistent communication, and an exceptional experience for every patient. Contribute to the team by assisting others without being asked. Qualifications Associate’s Degree from an accredited institution or a 2‑year certification program in Radiologic Technology (including training from the United States Armed Forces) and at least 1 year of CT/Diagnostic technology experience. Current American Heart Association BLS certification. One of the following certifications: Radiography Certification (ARRT – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists); Computerized Tomography Certification (ARRT – CT); or Radiology Technician (ARRT – Louisiana State Radiologic Technology Board of Examiners).
