Acquisition (1102) Training Instructor/Facilitator

Veterans Management Services, Inc. (VMSI) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) seeking a highly motivated part-time Facilitator to support our Veterans Affairs Acquisition Academy (VAAA) client. VAAA's mission is to deliver customer-focused training and professional development solutions that equip the federal acquisition workforce to deliver acquisition excellence in service to Veterans.

The Facilitator will deliver engaging instructor-led training for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) acquisition workforce, with a primary focus on federal acquisition and construction contracting. Work is performed on an ad hoc basis, with assignments occurring as courses are scheduled and delivered. The ideal candidate has experience facilitating technical training for adult learners and can effectively communicate complex acquisition concepts in both classroom and virtual environments. In addition to delivering instruction, the Facilitator will support curriculum development, course preparation, and continuous improvement efforts to ensure high-quality training delivery. This position is primarily remote; however, the Facilitator must travel to the VA Acquisition Academy in Frederick, MD to deliver in-person courses, up to two weeks per month.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver instructor-led classroom, virtual, and hybrid training to the Department of Veterans Affairs acquisition workforce, primarily courses focused on federal acquisition and construction contracting.
• Serve as an acquisition subject matter expert (SME), researching, developing, updating, and validating curriculum, instructor guides, participant workbooks, presentations, and other instructional materials in collaboration with the instructional design team.
• Review course content, training aids, and supporting documentation to ensure instructional accuracy, compliance, quality, and readiness for delivery.
• Customize instructional content and delivery methods to meet client and learner needs while maintaining curriculum standards.
• Participate in course pilots, dry runs, and quality assurance reviews, providing recommendations to improve course content and delivery.
• Collaborate with instructional designers, technologists, and fellow facilitators to ensure successful course execution.
• Utilize classroom technology and work closely with training technologists to support course delivery.
• Provide technical guidance and recommendations to program leadership related to acquisition training and workforce development.

Requirements:

· Master's Degree

· 14 years of relevant experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a facilitator/instructor role

· Active or recent FAC-C or DAWIA certification strongly preferred

· Facilitate courses for the VA up to 2 weeks per month

· Ability to travel to VA Acquisition Academy in Frederick, MD

Salary Range: The hourly rate for this position is between $95.00/hr. – $105.00/hr. Factors affecting pay within this range may include geography, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
