Our Transportation Department comprises over 30 professionals specializing in ocean, air, trucking, and rail, based in Memphis, TN. We have a team of 700 associates in our Sourcing offices across 10 countries in Asia and Europe, including China, Vietnam, Singapore, India, Italy, and Turkey. The Senior HR Partner will work closely with operations leaders and associates to foster a positive, compliant, and engaging associate experience within our dynamic supply chain environment. This role serves as a trusted HR advisor on employee relations, policy interpretation, engagement, and compliance while maintaining a strong floor presence to deliver effective day-to-day HR support. The ideal candidate will be highly visible, responsive, and adept at balancing associate advocacy with business needs. Your Exciting Responsibilities Include: Daily collaboration with operations leaders and associates to address employee relations matters, provide HR guidance, and enhance the associate experience in a bustling distribution environment. Maintaining visibility on the operations floor through regular walk-throughs and open-door engagement, proactively identifying concerns, building trust, and promoting associate engagement. Investigating, documenting, and resolving employee relations and HR compliance issues promptly, ensuring fairness and adherence to employment laws and company policies. Supporting key HR processes, including onboarding, performance management, employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and follow-up action planning for the Associate Opinion Survey (AOS). Ensuring consistent application of company policies and practices across functional areas and departments. Collaborating with leaders on workforce planning and retention efforts, including exit feedback surveys. Providing cross-site HR support in alignment with the HR Generalist at the Arizona Distribution Center, ensuring consistency and collaboration. Assisting with associate communications initiatives, such as newsletters, engagement calendars, bulletin boards, and digital display content to boost awareness and connectivity. Managing HR compliance processes, including employee relations documentation, unemployment claims, workers' compensation reporting, and leave of absence administration. Demonstrating flexibility to accommodate business needs, which may include second-shift support and availability during peak periods, including holidays like Thanksgiving and the day after. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. 4 - 6 years of progressive HR experience, preferably within distribution, manufacturing, logistics, retail, or fast-paced operational settings. Strong background in employee relations with demonstrated skills in conducting investigations and managing sensitive workplace issues with sound judgment. Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and HR compliance requirements. Proven track record of building effective partnerships with leaders and associates across all organizational levels. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of providing clear, practical guidance. Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail, adept at managing multiple priorities in a dynamic setting. Preferred Qualifications: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems; experience with leave management, workers' compensation, and unemployment processes is a plus. Bilingual skills are an advantage. Physical Requirements: Ability to walk, stand, bend, and sit for extended periods. Able to use a computer for prolonged durations.
