GIS Team Lead

This opportunity entails providing direction to the design office in the most effective use of GIS technology to improve the planning and design process.What You’ll Do:Advises as an expert resource, provides technical guidance to others.Provides input in marketing strategies, including capabilities within the team, processes and methodologies used, etc.Provides project coordination along with PM on projects with GIS needs, including assigning workloads, estimating hours, defining milestones and quality assurance.Creates final media projects including CD-ROMs, hardcopy maps, and documentation.Develops key relationships with industry sector leaders within the company.Investigates and learns new technologies, especially in the GIS industry.Recruits, hires, develops and retains staff, including development of plan for staff reporting, performance and compensation reviews, and succession. Coordinates schedules and approves timecards.Performs other duties as assigned.What You’ll Need:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Geography, Planning or related field and 6 years related experience using ESRI, Intergraph, or Bentley software products, orIn lieu of degree, 10 years of relevant experienceWhat We Prefer:Experience managing staff.Experience working with State DOTs, and federal, state agencies.Experience working with municipalities, MPOs, and transit agencies.Experience with large datasets (statewide, or larger).Database administration experience.Proficient in ArcGIS Online applications (Dashboards, Survey123, Hub, Experience Builder, StoryMaps).Experience with Data Visualization applications/tools (Power BI, Tableau).Data Governance experience.Experience with Python and SQL.Some familiarity with big data applications (Replica, Streetlight, RITIS PDA Suite).
