The Mortgage Accounting Specialist will be responsible for a range of complex funding, operational processing and customer service‑related issues. Responsibilities Resolve unusual issues while investigating their source to minimize or eliminate future occurrences Ensure required accounting and internal/external regulatory processes are adhered to and required reporting is completed efficiently and accurately with proper documentation for review on a timely basis Maintain appropriate records of activity and assist in development and maintenance of procedural manuals and/or updates to mainframe funding system Qualifications Funding experience as well as knowledge of Mortgage systems Bank, mortgage business, mortgage systems related experience or equivalent Minimum of bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, related field or equivalent experience Communications, organizational, analytical, administrative, problem‑solving, project management and interpersonal skills Proficiency with personal computers as well as pertinent HSBC systems and software Ability to meet deadlines and objectives independently and within the team Benefits As an HSBC employee, you will have access to tailored professional development opportunities to ensure you have the right skills for today and tomorrow.
