Your duties include:Monitoring surveillance systems – observing security cameras to detect suspicious activity.Patrolling premises – conducting routine security checks to deter theft and ensure safety.Identifying and preventing theft – watching for shoplifters, dishonest employees, or fraudulent activities.Investigating incidents – documenting and reporting theft, vandalism, or security breaches.Apprehending suspects – detaining individuals caught stealing or violating policies, if permitted by law.Collaborating with law enforcement – assisting police with investigations and providing necessary evidence.Ensuring compliance – enforcing company policies, loss prevention procedures, and safety regulations.Providing customer service – acting as a visible deterrent while maintaining a professional and helpful presence.Key responsibilities include:Delivering excellent customer service while adhering to safety, security procedures, and site-specific policies.Responding to incidents and critical situations calmly, using problem-solving skills.Patrolling the site on foot to identify potential dangers or criminal activity.Reporting any suspicious activity to supervisors or law enforcement as necessary.Maintaining accurate reports by documenting observations, occurrences, and surveillance activities.Issuing verbal warnings, making arrests (if applicable), and/or contacting law enforcement for security violations or criminal activities.Adapting to various working environments and conditions.Performing other duties as assigned.Minimum qualifications:Valid California Guard Card required.Power to arrest certificate required.Appropriate Use of Force certificate required.High School Diploma or GED equivalent.Be at least 25 years of age.Firearms Permit.Defensive Tactics.Join us to grow your career in security with a leading agency focused on excellence, innovation, and professionalism!What you'll need:Proficiency in English, including speaking, reading, and writing.A commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.Ability to meet all physical demands such as standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods.Must pass a comprehensive background check, which includes a criminal record, driving record, and drug testing.Why you'll love working with us:Company culture: We are dedicated to creating a workplace where you'll want to be.Paid holidays: Federal holidays are paid at a holiday rate if worked.Sick leave: Eligible for sick leave from the start of employment.Paid training: We provide compensation while you learn on the job.Equal opportunity employer – M/F/D/V.
