The organization specializes in providing quality glass products and services while building strong relationships with contractors, builders, architects, designers, property managers, and other industry professionals.

The company is focused on continued growth and is seeking a motivated professional who can expand its market presence, develop new business opportunities, strengthen industry relationships, and represent the organization professionally throughout the community.

Position Overview

The Business Development & Marketing Specialist / Sales Representative will be responsible for driving business growth through lead generation, relationship development, networking, sales activities, and marketing initiatives.

This position combines business development, outside sales, marketing, networking, content creation, and relationship management . The ideal candidate will be comfortable working both in an office environment and in the field, meeting with industry professionals, attending networking events, visiting construction sites, and representing the organization at presentations and community events.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute business development, sales, and marketing campaigns.
• Identify and generate qualified leads and new business opportunities.
• Build and maintain referral partnerships with contractors, builders, architects, designers, and property managers.
• Conduct in-person visits with prospective and existing business partners.
• Represent the organization at networking events, presentations, trade events, and community activities.
• Conduct lunch-and-learn presentations and other educational presentations for industry partners.
• Build and maintain strong professional relationships within the construction and building industry.
• Manage and maintain social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn .
• Manage the organization's Google Business Profile and monitor online engagement.
• Create marketing content including photos, videos, brochures, presentations, flyers, blogs, newsletters, and other promotional materials.
• Assist with paid advertising campaigns and monitor campaign performance.
• Track and report key performance indicators, including lead generation, website traffic, social media engagement, networking activity, and marketing ROI.
• Utilize modern marketing and AI tools such as ChatGPT, Canva AI, Adobe Firefly, and AI-powered video editing software .
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure business development and marketing efforts align with organizational goals.
• Maintain accurate records of prospects, contacts, business opportunities, and sales activities.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience in sales, business development, outside sales, or a related field .
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong relationship-building and networking abilities.
• Confident and comfortable speaking and presenting to groups.
• Ability to establish relationships with business owners, contractors, builders, architects, designers, and other industry professionals.
• Experience using Canva or Adobe Creative Suite .
• Strong understanding of social media platforms.
• Professional appearance and excellent presentation skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Willingness and ability to travel throughout Middle Tennessee .
• Ability to walk active construction sites.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 30 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field , or equivalent professional experience.
• Previous experience in construction, building materials, glass, architectural products, or a related industry .
• Existing relationships or professional network within the construction industry.
• Photography and videography experience.
• Familiarity with Google Analytics and Meta Business Suite .
• Graphic design and digital content creation experience.
• Experience using AI-powered marketing and content-creation tools.
• Previous experience developing referral partnerships and managing business accounts.
