About the Role

We’re looking for a dedicated Special Procedures Tech to join our team and help us continue delivering the level of care our patients and families deserve. In this role, you’ll be a vital part of our clinical team, ensuring excellent service, collaboration, and patient outcomes in a fast-paced healthcare environment. As the Special Procedures Tech, you will a ssist Physicians performing surgical radiographic procedures efficiently utilizing various techniques (Large C-arm operation, Mini C-arm operation, sterile technique & processing CR films) at a technical level that requires independent judgment.

What You’ll Do

• Special Procedure Technologists properly position the patients and operate and manipulate the equipment to ensure that usable scans and images are produced in the surgical setting.

• Monitors safe radiation practices during procedures for the staff and patients (Shielding, ALARA)

• Responsible for following Surgical Center and Imaging Department policies and procedures and completing all competencies, along with providing outstanding customer service.

• Verifies all pertinent orders, ensures proper patient safety and preparation for procedures.

• Prepares equipment and patients for pain management procedures, including sterile tray and sterile patient preparation.

• Provides direct patient care within the patient care area and notifies a clinical staff member if patient condition changes.

• Assists with routine stocking and maintenance of procedural rooms and patient care areas.

• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in alignment with Saratoga Hospital values

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support health, healing, and service excellence

• Perform clinical responsibilities with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency

• Use hospital systems and tools to document care and support operations

• Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and support patient and staff satisfaction

• Serve as a positive, professional representative of our hospital and community

What You Bring

• Graduate of an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology.

• Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technology and licensed by NYS.

• BLS certification

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Commitment to providing patient-first, high-quality service

• Comfort working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
