Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire

Position Overview
Addison Group is hiring for our client, a large specialty healthcare organization in Plano, TX, seeking an experienced Medical Front Desk Receptionist to join its ophthalmology and retina practice.
This position will support daily front-office operations, including patient check-in and check-out, insurance verification, payment collection, and phone coverage. The ideal candidate is personable, dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a busy medical office.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients and manage check-in and check-out
- Verify patient insurance coverage and demographic information
- Collect copays, outstanding balances, and other patient payments
- Answer incoming calls and assist with patient questions
- Update patient information and maintain accurate records
- Support daily front-office workflows and administrative tasks
- Communicate professionally with patients, providers, and team members
- Maintain accuracy and organization in a busy practice environment
- Provide excellent customer service throughout the patient experience
Qualifications
- 2–3 years of medical front desk, reception, or patient access experience preferred
- Experience with patient check-in/check-out and payment collection
- Knowledge of medical insurance verification processes
- Strong phone and customer service skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Experience with AdvancedMD preferred
- Retina or ophthalmology experience preferred but not required
- Comfortable handling multiple responsibilities in a busy medical practice
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
