Sonnenberg Consultants is hiring Behavior Technicians and Registered Behavior Technicians to join our ABA team at our Early Intervention Center (EIC) in Mount Pleasant, WI.
The Early Intervention Center is focused on helping young learners build foundational skills that support their development and prepare them for success in school. Our programming provides learners with opportunities to develop communication, social, learning, independence, and behavioral skills that are appropriate to their stage of development.
As a Behavior Technician, you’ll work directly with young learners while implementing individualized ABA programs under the guidance and supervision of experienced Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs).
No prior ABA experience is required for entry-level candidates. Sonnenberg provides paid training, ongoing supervision, and opportunities to develop your skills and advance within the organization.
If you enjoy working with young children, staying active, building relationships, and helping children learn and grow, this can be a great opportunity to build experience in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), education, behavioral health, or human services.

What this role is really like
As a Behavior Technician, you’ll provide hands-on, individualized support to young learners throughout their day.
You’ll help children build foundational skills related to communication, social interaction, learning, independence, following routines, and preparing for school. You’ll use play, structured activities, natural learning opportunities, and other evidence-based strategies to help children practice and strengthen these skills.
This is an active role. You may spend portions of the day playing with learners, working at a table, participating in group activities, moving between activities, or working on the floor. You’ll collaborate closely with BCBAs and other team members to create consistent learning opportunities throughout the day. Every learner is different, so while the overall schedule is predictable, the day-to-day experience can vary based on individual needs, goals, and progress.
The ability to adapt quickly is essential. A learner’s needs, behavior, or level of support may change from one moment to the next, and you may need to quickly shift between activities, change your approach, or prioritize a different goal based on what the learner needs in that moment. The ability to stay focused on the learner while managing your own reactions and emotions is an important part of providing effective support.
