Outside Sales Associate

Overview Construction Resources (CR) is a leading building products distributor serving the Southeast. As CR expands into the Tampa market, we are hiring an Outside Salesperson to engage clients and generate sales. The Outside Salesperson will work with existing customers and secure prospective new customers and clients by phone, e‑mail, and direct office appointments to provide detailed information on product specifications, services, pricing, delivery and installation scheduling. They will focus on builders, designers, remodelers, and retail customers, and represent CR at NKBA, NARI, and various HBA events. Key Responsibilities Work with the national account manager to address field issues and provide final solutions. Communicate job readiness and lead times, and collaborate with scheduling changes. Provide excellent sales support and customer experience to all accounts. Develop and maintain relationships with all accounts. Visit job sites as needed to provide sales support and conduct product demonstrations. Follow up phone calls to secure orders, resolve customer issues, and ensure satisfaction. Collect deposits and balances before delivery. Work retail leads as provided, especially on fireplaces and surrounds. Represent the company at industry events and build professional relationships. Qualifications Experience: 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in construction industry product sales. Self‑motivated with a proven record of closing sales. Valid driver’s license and good driving record. Computer literate with working knowledge of MS Office and CRM software (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar). Skills & Attributes: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to build lasting client relationships. Proven ability to generate leads, conduct prospecting activities, and manage a sales pipeline. Excellent time‑management, organizational, and negotiation skills. Comfortable with face‑to‑face meetings and product demonstrations. Self‑motivated with excellent time‑management and the ability to travel as needed. Benefits Medical, Dental, Vision insurance.
