Job description for a Waste Service Technician at Global Sanitation Services below.
The Service Technician operates a company service truck to service, pump, and clean portable restrooms and holding tanks at various locations. Responsibilities: - Operate the service truck in accordance DOT requirements.- Service portable toilets and sinks on job sites.
- Interact with customers on-site, trouble shoot and problem solve.
- Perform physical duties including sitting, standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and lifting/pushing between 50 and 125 lbs. Requirements: - Experience preferred but not mandatory, training available.
- Valid Driver's License (CDL or non-commercial).
- Time management, customer service, and communication skills.
- Reads and speaks English, able to work with route software. Physical Requirements: - Sit while driving and stand while servicing products.
- Use hands and fingers to handle waste hoses, levers and repeat the same movements.
- Maintain necessary visual acuity, hearing, and clear speech for customer communication.
- Enter and exit equipment by stepping and kneeling.
- Crouch, squat, lift up to 40 lbs. from waist to shoulders, lift 30 lbs. from floor to head, and push/pull 100 lbs. horizontally. - - Walk up to 30 minutes at a time without exertion. \nCompany Description
