Position Highlights:  
\n As a referral center for cardiac medicine, the robust Heart and Vascular program at provides Cardiology, Cardiovascular Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Electrophysiology, and Multi-disciplinary Structural Heart Services. 
\n The cardiology program is recognized as the region’s leader of advanced cardiac care. The program’s dedicated team of medical professionals have performed more cardiology procedures than all other Southwest Georgia hospitals combined.

  Experienced APP support in the clinic - 8 APPs, 6 in Albany and 2 in Americus, GA

  Call 1:4 weekend coverage

  Full range of cardiac programs: Cardiac MRI, Cardiac CTA, Structural Heart and EP

\n

  Imaging modalities include:   

\n

\n

\n
• \n

  transthoracic, echocardiogram, transesophageal echocardiogram, nuclear imaging, Cardiac CT, cardiac MRI, procedural intervention with structural procedures, such as watchmen, complicated TAVR, mitraclip  

\n

\n

\n
• \n

  Nuclear, transthoracic, echocardiogram, and transesophageal, echocardiogram most frequent in terms of volume  

\n

\n

\n
• \n

  Level 1 Emergency Cardiac Care Center, Level 2 Trauma Center

\n

\n

\n
• \n

  Will participate in regional outreach

\n

\n

\n
• \n

  Willing to discuss part-time and per diem interest too

Essential Functions

• Maintains current knowledge in present areas of responsibility (i.e., self-education, attends ongoing educational programs).

• Attends staff meetings and completes mandatory in-services and requirements and competency evaluations on time.
\n
• Demonstrates competency at all levels in providing care to all patients based on age, sex, weight, and demonstrated needs. For non-clinical areas, has attended training and demonstrates the usage of age-specific customer service skills.

• Wears protective clothing and equipment as appropriate. 
\n

Qualifications
\n Doctorate Degree in Medicine (Required)

\n

\n Work Experience 
\n 0 - 1 year Experience in a related field (Preferred)

\n

Licenses and Certifications
\n Board certification or Board eligibility as defined by: medical staff at the health system facility where you are working, per employment/IC agreement, managed care plans, and other entities that credential providers.
