Who we’re looking for Toyota Financial Services’ DevOps Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Software Engineer. The primary responsibility of this role is to build and maintain modern cloud-native applications and platforms that improve reliability, speed, and developer experience. In this role, you’ll help automate the infrastructure and operations behind critical technology products, enabling teams to deliver high-quality solutions with confidence. What you’ll be doing A typical day in this role is a mix of hands‑on engineering, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Success means helping teams move faster while making systems more reliable, secure, and scalable. You’ll work closely with fellow engineers and partners across the department to improve how software is built, deployed, and supported. Automate infrastructure and platform management for cloud-native applications to improve efficiency, consistency, and scalability Strengthen engineering and operations standards by advancing coding practices, development workflows, and department best practices Pilot emerging technologies and innovative approaches that help drive toward highly available, resilient applications Automate mundane tasks to achieve engineering excellence Support CI/CD excellence by improving deployment workflows, automation, and release reliability Partner with team members to promote Agile practices, share knowledge, and contribute to a strong, collaborative engineering culture Contribute to team growth through recruiting efforts, mentorship, and technical development support Help shape modern DevOps capabilities across the team by bringing a continuous‑improvement mindset to day-to-day work What you bring Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical or quantitative discipline such as computer science, computer engineering, information systems, information technology, or mathematics 3+ years of software experience developing cloud-native applications and services in a modern engineering environment Strong programming and scripting skills in languages such as Java or Python to support automation and CI/CD customization Hands‑on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions A practical understanding of how to build, automate, and support reliable software delivery processes Added bonus if you have Experience with DevSecOps automation that helps build security into delivery workflows Experience with cloud-native technologies in AWS, Azure, or GCP Experience with CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and/or SRE operations What we’ll bring A work environment built on teamwork, flexibility, and respect Professional growth and development programs to help advance your career, as well as tuition reimbursement Team Member Vehicle Purchase Discount Toyota Team Member Lease Vehicle Program (if applicable) Comprehensive health care and wellness plans for your entire family Flextime and virtual work options (if applicable) Toyota 401(k) Savings Plan featuring a company match, as well as an annual retirement contribution from Toyota regardless of whether you contribute Paid holidays and paid time off Referral services related to prenatal services, adoption, childcare, schools, and more Tax Advantage Accounts (Health Savings Account, Health Care FSA, Dependent Care FSA) Relocation assistance (if applicable) Belonging at Toyota Our success begins and ends with our people.
