This position supports our mission of delivering the highest quality patient care while fostering education and research opportunities. The faculty member will provide comprehensive care for patients with general neurological disorders and headache conditions in both outpatient and inpatient settings. It is a unique opportunity to blend clinical practice with teaching and scholarly activities in a collaborative environment.## **Job Description:****Job Duties*** Diagnose, treat, and manage patients with general neurological conditions.* Provide care in general neurology clinics and inpatient consultations.* Engage in clinical research if desired, including clinical trials, and contribute to scholarly publications (optional but encouraged).* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care.* Educate medical students, residents, and fellows through formal lectures and informal clinical teaching. The level of degree is based on accreditation requirements, institutional standards of academic and professional excellence, alignment with peer institution benchmarks, and contributes to the credibility and effectiveness of the role within the university community. **Certifications/Licenses**:* Eligible for a Kansas medical license. **Work Experience**:* Neurology residency training. **Preferred Qualifications****Work Experience**:* Headache Medicine fellowship training. **Skills*** Communication Skills **Required Documents*** Resume/CV* Cover LetterIf selected as a final candidate for this position, you may be required to complete the Association of American of Universities Representations and Warranties document and sign a release of records that will allow the University of Kansas Medical Center to conduct a further background check with former employers. A copy of the Representations and Warranties document can be found here.**Comprehensive Benefits Package:**Coverage begins on day one for health, dental, and vision insurance and includes health expense accounts with generous employer contributions if the employee participates in a qualifying health plan. Employer-paid life insurance, long-term disability insurance, and various additional voluntary insurance plans are available. Paid time off, including vacation and sick, begins accruing upon hire, plus ten paid holidays. One paid discretionary day is available after six months of employment, and paid time off for bereavement, jury duty, military service, and parental leave is available after 12 months of employment.
