Casual, Full-Service Restaurant & Bar | York, PA

Compensation: $50,000 – $60,000 / year + Performance Bonus Potential & Comprehensive Benefits

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced, high-energy Kitchen Manager to lead our back-of-house operations in York, PA. In this hands-on leadership role, you will oversee daily food preparation, inventory control, kitchen staff supervision, and quality assurance in a high-volume, casual full-service environment. You will partner directly with the General Manager to maintain food quality, control labor and food costs, and foster a positive, fast-paced kitchen culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Operations & Leadership: Direct daily kitchen operations, line station setup, prep workflow, and ticket flow during peak hours.
• Team Management: Hire, train, schedule, and mentor BOH staff, including line cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers.
• Cost Controls: Oversee weekly inventory management, order supplies, minimize waste, and control labor hours to hit target margin goals.
• Quality & Sanitation: Ensure strict compliance with local health department standards, food safety protocols, proper food handling, and kitchen cleanliness.
• Menu Execution: Maintain consistent recipe execution, plate presentation, and prep standards across all menu items and daily specials.

Qualifications

• Experience: 2+ years of Kitchen Management, BOH Supervisor, or Assistant Kitchen Manager experience in a full-service, high-volume casual restaurant or bar concept.
• Leadership: Proven ability to coach, retain, and manage line staff in a collaborative, fast-paced kitchen.
• Financial Acumen: Basic understanding of BOH P&L drivers, including food cost percentages, inventory turns, and labor management.
• Certifications: ServSafe Manager certification required (or ability to obtain within 30 days).
• Flexibility: Availability to work nights, weekends, and peak holiday operational hours.
