Associate Researcher II - Hematology & Medical Oncology

Job Overview Associate Researcher II position is available within the laboratory of Dr. Marcellino in the Tisch Cancer Center, division of Hematology/Medical Oncology. The laboratory focuses on understanding the mechanisms of tumor cell dissemination during metastasis using advanced microscopy techniques (in vivo multiphoton, confocal, FRET, light‑sheet, super resolution) along with analytical imaging, molecular biology, and biochemistry approaches. The candidate will have a unique opportunity to work in a stimulating scientific environment. Responsibilities Conduct experiments under limited supervision using advanced research techniques. Analyze and assist in interpreting moderately complex results. Perform assays to support research studies. Assist in the collection, analysis, and review of experimental data for publication and presentation. May train less‑experienced research staff and postdoctoral fellows in techniques and equipment use. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in sciences, related field, or equivalent experience. 2 years in a research environment, or 1 year plus master’s degree in a related field. Knowledge of basic laboratory techniques such as tissue culture, DNA isolation, PCR, electrophoresis, western blotting. Experience in flow cytometry. Willingness to work with rodents and comfortable with mouse handling. Ability to develop data presentations. Excellent organizational, problem‑solving, analytical skills. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Knowledge of standard research concepts. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Compensation Salary range: $66,482.07 – $84,560 annually. Actual salaries depend on experience, education, and operational need.
