Senior Business Systems Analyst / Software Configuration Analyst

Location: Jackson, MI (Hybrid – 3 days per week onsite)

Duration: 12+ Months

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Systems Analyst / Software Configuration Analyst to support the configuration, integration, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise software applications used across energy generation, project management, and real estate operations.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience configuring Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) enterprise applications, translating business requirements into technical solutions, and troubleshooting application issues. This role combines business analysis with technical configuration and testing, requiring someone who can work independently with business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver effective software solutions.

Experience with Oracle Primavera P6, Oracle Primavera Unifier, or other enterprise project management applications is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, translating them into technical specifications and software configuration solutions.
\n
• Perform hands-on configuration, technical setup, implementation, and integration of COTS enterprise applications.
\n
• Analyze application capabilities and determine appropriate configuration approaches to meet business needs.
\n
• Support system integrations by understanding network connectivity, communication protocols, security requirements, and application interfaces.
\n
• Develop test scenarios, execute functional testing, validate configurations, and support implementation activities.
\n
• Create solution diagrams, process documentation, and application mappings to demonstrate how technical functionality aligns with business requirements.
\n
• Investigate production issues, troubleshoot application defects, identify root causes, and support ongoing application maintenance.
\n
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, IT teams, and other technical resources to deliver application enhancements and resolve issues.
\n
• Participate in requirements reviews, solution validation, and implementation planning.
\n
• Work within a modified Agile/Scrum environment, contributing to team discussions, sprint activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience configuring, implementing, and integrating COTS enterprise software applications.
\n
• Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into technical configurations and solutions.
\n
• Understanding of software integrations, network connectivity, application interfaces, and security protocols.
\n
• Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), requirements analysis, testing, and implementation processes.
\n
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
\n
• Ability to interpret technical documentation, understand application architecture, and independently configure enterprise applications.
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with business and technical stakeholders.
\n
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and support application enhancements, maintenance, and production issue resolution.
\n

Preferred Qualifications

\n
• Experience with Oracle Primavera P6 and/or Oracle Primavera Unifier .
\n
• Familiarity with enterprise project management systems, project controls, scheduling, and project financial processes.
\n
• Experience with SAP applications and SAP integrations.
\n
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience working in an Agile delivery environment.
\n
• Scripting, programming, or software development experience.
\n
• Experience supporting enterprise applications related to energy generation, real estate, land/property management, or project management.
\n
• Familiarity with application integration, system configuration, and technical solution documentation.
