IOP Phlebotomist
Labcorp
Labcorp seeks a phlebotomist for an in-patient service center in Homewood, Alabama. The role involves performing blood draws across age groups, processing specimens, managing patient data, and providing customer service. Monday-Thursday 8:30am-5:00pm and Friday 8:30am-1:00pm schedule.
Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection for all age groups
- Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol testing
- Enter patient information and maintain specimen logs accurately
- Process billing information and collect payments from patients
- Prepare specimens for laboratory testing and analysis
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Phlebotomy certification or completed accredited training program
- Minimum three months phlebotomy experience or current certification
- Ability to pass color blindness test
- Reliable transportation
- Full COVID-19 vaccination (or qualified exemption)
