PFAS Prep Technician

Shift Hours SHIFT: 8am-4pm or 4pm-12am. Ability to work off shift. Responsibilities Perform extractions using various EPA methods in the ALS Middletown PFAS laboratory. Prepare samples for analysis in accordance with ALS standard operating procedures. Prepare reagents for the sample preparation process. Safely and properly wash scientific glassware. Maintain safe working conditions and use appropriate safety equipment. Recordkeeping to ensure adequate documentation and traceability. Maintain a clean, orderly work environment. Load LCMS equipment for analysis. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Dedication to supporting ALS goals, objectives, and philosophies. Diligent work ethic and ability to work as a team member. High energy level, confidence, and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment. Multi‑tasked, organized, and detail oriented. Proficient English verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate professionally with staff, management, and clients. Ability to work well in a team and possess problem‑solving capabilities. Physical Demands Stand for intervals of up to 8 hours during work periods. Speak and hear clearly while communicating with co‑workers and managers. Dexterity in hands and fingers to handle glassware. Average vision adequate to read labels.
