Find your future at Fastenal! Our distribution center is hiring energetic, team oriented individuals to work in our fast pace warehouse! Working as Full-time Mini Load Picking Lead, you will lead the day-to-day operations of the Mini Load Picking department. When an order is placed by a branch you will pick the requested quantity using a small parts automated goods to person system. Then, pack the order, print a label with a routing number and send the product to the next department, Sortation. You will provide guidance to ensure operations are completed correctly, efficiently and on time. The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Leading and training team members
• Communicating with employees and branches
• Picking orders and packing product using a small parts automated goods to person system
• Operating computer programs, scanners and printers to label product
• Using a scale for weighing product
• Maintain the cleanliness/organization of work area
• Complying with health, safety and sustainability rules and expectations
• Participating in activities and programs that help the company achieve health, safety and sustainability objectives
• Learning, passing, and practicing various environmental health and safety trainings

The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:

• 18 years of age or older
• Possess prior work experience in warehouse, distribution, operations or industrial sales
• Proficient written and oral communication skills
• Knowledge of computer operations, including oper1, WMS and Microsoft Office Applications
• Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented
• Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
• Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
• Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
• Work independently as well as in a team environment
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule/extra time as needed

• Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 100lbs
• Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)
