Pending license accepted.Certifications: BLS, ACLS required; PALS recommendedMust-Have: ACLS, BLS certifications requiredExperience in critical care or ER preferredDescription: The position requires the ability to float to a transitional care unit. Experience in critical care or emergency nursing is a benefit but not necessary. The unit typically has a patient ratio of 1:4. Patient demographics include adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Daily census is approximately four patients across a unit with 25 beds. Patients may include medical, orthopedic, podiatry, and general surgery cases. Interdisciplinary support is available, including physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. The facility has a low-level ICU. Candidates should have diverse patient care experience due to the critical access nature of the hospital. Essential skills include the use of rapid response/code teams and peripheral line care/management. Certifications in BLS and ACLS are required; PALS is preferred. Experience with Cerner charting is preferred as it is utilized in this facility. Travel pairs are accepted.
